Hi all just wondering what everyone's favourite Tarot Deck is and why? I started off with the Rider Waite deck but was bought the Hanson and Roberts deck as a gift and never looked back. The Hanson & Roberts deck is my favourite, it just speaks to me so much more (with its rich art work) than the popular Rider Waite.

i have the osho zen deck and the artwork is phenomonal .......... also quite different to traditional style decks , very inspiring to work with

I have seen the osh zen deck it is amazing, it is strange how different decks speak to you differently and how the meanings change as the major arcana speaks to you in different decks. I used the witches tarot for a couple of years and although I loved the symbolism of the major arcana cards especially the high priestess the minor arcana never really spoke to me as much as the traditional cards. A friend bought me the Thoth tarot deck but I could never use it as it had a really negative association for me yet she who was professional reader loved this deck.

I have never really been able to 'get away' with a tarot deck, I provide readings with 'wicca cards' and have been doing so for about the past six years, though I have found that I get to a point in time with a deck, then there is an 'accident', the last one was a flask of coffee breaking in my bag on a trip to Edinburgh! So I have to go out and buy a new deck, though I always end up with some version of wicca cards.

There used to be a fabulous wee spirit and well being shop just off Merchiston, I used to love going in there. I have never tried wicca cards but you have pique'd my interest so will have a look into these.
