So I ventured out to my postage stamp sized garden today and decided to do some gardening.

After pruning two bushes and getting a blister on my thumb I decided to get the proffessionals in Big Grin

I'm not going to tell Martin just have him think that I did all the hard work, is that wrong? Rolleyes Big Grin

Hmm I would tell him personally but put a positive spin on it like it's going to be easier for you to manage from now on blah blah blah. I am in the middle of planning my magic garden myself though dont relish the extreme hard graft that goes with it! Wil be worth it the end though and will be different from all the other very uniform gardens in my estate.

I have to say it is more lazyness on my behalf. The garden is mainly gravel and a couple of bushes and pots. Rolleyes

I have someone coming to give me a quote tommorrow to just tidy it up so I can get some new plants in and then coming back once a month to do a bit of weeding.

The way I see it is that if I pay for it he will never know and just think that I am really green fingered Big Grin

I shall let you know how it goes
Gardening is a sore point at the minute - very sore - you should see the sixe of the horrible blister at the base of my thumb! I'm afrad my gardens had totally reverted to nature - was almost at the point of calling david atenborough to film the pigmy tribe living out there!
Last Saturday my other half and I spent a total of 7 hours clearing them out and making them look halfway respectible!
Still, now I have space to sit out there with a cuppa, and feel the sun on my face, and breathe in fresh air.
It would be fantastic if there were little elves that came and did the gardening during the night, so when you get up in the morning it doesn't look as depressing Big Grin
Would they be the same elves that did the ironing and kept the house tidy???
Yep!

Actually I have figured the ironing out, only buy clothes that don't need ironing. And housework isn't that where men come in?! Rolleyes
Is the little elves not the same people who cut the lawn for £20!
